MG Hector Tomahawk launched in Hyderabad in EV, PHEV variants
Hyderabad, Sept 12 (TNT): JSW MG Motor India on Saturday launched its Hector Tomahawk SUV in Hyderabad in electric and plug-in hybrid electric variants, with introductory Battery-as-a-Service (BaaS) prices starting at Rs 13.99 lakh for the EV and Rs 21.79 lakh for the PHEV.
The EV is priced at Rs 13.99 lakh plus Rs 4.90 per km battery rental, while the PHEV is priced at Rs 21.79 lakh plus Rs 3.20 per km battery rental. The SUV is now available at MG dealerships across Hyderabad.
Built on the company’s Advanced Drive Architecture Platform Technology (ADAPT), the Hector Tomahawk is offered with both EV and PHEV powertrains. It was unveiled in the presence of actress Ananya Nagalla and Raam Group CEO Gunjeet Singh Sachdeva.
The Hector Tomahawk EV is powered by a 69.2 kWh battery and offers a certified driving range of 517 km on a single charge. The PHEV combines a 1.5-litre petrol engine with a 20.5 kWh battery and offers more than 115 km of pure-electric driving range.
JSW MG Motor India Chief Commercial Officer Vinay Raina said Telangana was emerging as one of India’s fastest-growing electric mobility markets and remained one of the company’s key markets.
He said the launch was a step towards strengthening the New Energy Vehicle (NEV) mobility ecosystem in the country and providing customers in the region access to advanced electrified mobility technologies.
Raam Group CEO Gunjeet Singh Sachdeva said the response to MG’s NEV portfolio in Hyderabad had been encouraging and expressed confidence that the Hector Tomahawk would further raise the bar in terms of electrified powertrains and technology.
