Telangana CM Revanth pays tributes to Kaloji Narayana Rao on Telangana Language Day
Hyderabad, Sept 9 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A Revanth Reddy on Wednesday paid tributes to renowned poet and Padma Vibhushan awardee Kaloji Narayana Rao on his birth anniversary, observed as Telangana Language Day.
The Chief Minister recalled Kaloji’s contribution to preserving and promoting Telangana’s language, dialect, culture and way of life through his writings.
Revanth Reddy said Kaloji, popularly known as the ‘People’s Poet’, remained a voice of the people and inspired generations through his literary work and public life.
He said the state government was organising special programmes to carry forward Kaloji’s legacy and ideals.
The Chief Minister said Kaloji’s contribution to Telangana language and literature was invaluable and reiterated that the government would continue to encourage and support the promotion of the State’s language and literature.
On the occasion, Revanth Reddy paid floral tributes to Kaloji Narayana Rao’s portrait. MP Anil Kumar Yadav was also present.
