Kakinada: Coalition government giving equal priority to welfare, development: Minister Subhash

Kakinada, Aug 31 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Labour Minister Vasamsetti Subhash on Monday said the coalition government was giving equal priority to welfare and development and had implemented several welfare schemes while undertaking development programmes over the past two-and-a-half years.

He was speaking as the chief guest at the swearing-in ceremony of the newly constituted governing body of the Kakinada Rural Agricultural Market Committee, held at a private function hall in Indrapalem here.

Subhash said those who had worked sincerely for the coalition parties would be duly recognised and given nominated posts.

He called upon coalition party workers to work unitedly and counter what he termed the “adverse propaganda” of the YSRCP. The workers should give a fitting reply to the opposition party, he said.

Newly appointed Market Committee Chairperson Masumenu Manga said she would strive for the development of the committee with the cooperation of Ministers, MLCs, MLAs and other elected representatives.

Later, Subhash administered the oath of office to the chairperson and other members of the governing body.

Kakinada Rural MLA Pantham Nanaji chaired the programme.

Kakinada MP Thangella Uday Srinivas, MLC Perabathula Rajasekharam, former MLA Pilli Anantha Lakshmi, TDP senior leader Pilli Satyanarayana Murthy, district general secretary Penke Srinivasa Baba, Rambhala Venkateswara Rao, Child Rights Commission Chairman Suryanarayana Raju, Karapa AMC Chairman Mudragada Ramesh, RUDA Chairman Boddu Venkata Ramana, former ZPTC member Nulukurti Venkateswara Rao, State Setti Balija Corporation Director Chappidi Venkateswara Rao, Godavari Delta Water Users Association president Sunil, KUDA Chairman Thalatam Satya, MPP Nandipati Anantha Lakshmi and local leaders of the TDP, Jana Sena and BJP were among those present.
