Minister Nara Lokesh pitches ‘3S’ model to attract investments to Andhra Pradesh

Mumbai, Aug 26 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Minister Nara Lokesh on Wednesday said the state was focusing on “Speed, Service and Stability” as the key pillars of its strategy to attract investments.

Speaking at the Fortune India 40 Under 40 Awards here, Lokesh said the first of the three “S’s” was speed of doing business, while the second was service to investors.

He said he personally shared updates with investors on the progress of their investments and regularly sought to provide feedback on the status of projects.

The third “S”, he said, was stability, referring to policy continuity and a stable policy framework for investors.

“Governments might come, might go, but all of you are looking for a stable policy framework,” Lokesh said.

He said the state’s investment strategy was also built around the brand and track record of Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu.

“Our Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu is our brand. Mr Naidu himself is a brand and comes with an amazing track record,” he said.

Lokesh said Naidu’s ability to open doors for Andhra Pradesh investors made his job easier, while his role was to engage with investors and conclude investment deals.

“So having a Chief Minister who can open doors makes my job half easy, and the other half is for me to go into the meeting room and close the door, and close the deal. And this partnership has made Andhra Pradesh really stand out,” he added.
