PNB, Indian Army Sign MoU for Exclusive Credit Cards for Army Personnel
New Delhi, Aug 21 (TNT): Punjab National Bank (PNB) has entered into an exclusive Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Indian Army to offer two credit cards — PNB LUXURA Metal Credit Card for Army officers and PNB Parakram Credit Card for JCOs/OR personnel.
The partnership is aimed at providing serving personnel of the Indian Army with curated financial, lifestyle and reward benefits, besides fee waivers and other privileges, the Bank said in a statement on Friday.
The MoU signing ceremony was attended by AG, Lt Gen Viresh Pratap Singh Kaushik, PVSM, UYSM, YSM, SM, DG, MP & PS; Lt Gen Rajeev Puri, AVSM, VSM, representing the Indian Army; PNB MD and CEO Ashok Chandra; Maj Gen Dinesh Singh Bisht (Retd.), Chief Defence Banking Advisor; CGM Sudhir Dalal and AGM Amit Kumar Singh.
The MoU was signed by Maj Gen VK Purohit, AVSM, YSM, SM, on behalf of the Indian Army and PNB General Manager, Public Relations and Credit Card Division, Deepak Kumar, at the Indian Army Headquarters in Delhi.
Under the partnership, the PNB LUXURA Metal Credit Card will be offered to Army officers, while the PNB Parakram Credit Card will be available to JCOs and OR personnel.
The cards offer benefits including 3 per cent cashback on purchases at Canteen Stores Department (CSD) outlets, complimentary domestic and international airport lounge access, zero forex mark-up, Buy One Get One movie ticket benefits and complimentary golf lessons, besides other reward and lifestyle privileges.
The PNB Parakram Credit Card features a biodegradable card design, which the bank said provides an environmentally conscious alternative.

The partnership, he said, reaffirmed PNB’s commitment to serving the Armed Forces community through financial products combining convenience, value and privileges tailored to their needs.
The bank said the exclusive partnership further strengthens its association with the Indian Armed Forces and its commitment to supporting the financial and lifestyle requirements of Army personnel.
