kakinada: Students sensitized on traffic rules, cyber crimes
Kakinada , Aug 19 (TNT): The students of Rajiv Gandhi Municipal corporation High school in cinema hall road in the city here have been sensitized on the traffic rules and regulations and also on the types of cyber crimes at a meeting held in their school on Wednesday .
Under the instructions from the SP Bindu Madhav and under the supervision of additional SP Dr Mahanti Kishore Kumar , Traffic police station one town Circle Inspector N Ramesh convened the special meeting and addressed the students on the importance of observing traffic rules and regulations to ensure safe travel.
Explaining the traffic rules by a power point presentation Inspector Ramesh asked the students to cross the road at the traffic signals point only after red light appears and also at the zebra lines point.
At other places where there are no zebra lines,he said students should cross the road noticing the traffic on both sides .
The Inspector has cautioned them on the possible road accidents if travel on one way and also advised them not to travel in overloaded auto rickshaws.` don’t travel sitting on either side of the auto driver.
Ramesh advised them that the two wheeler drivers should wear the helmets for safety and should not indulge in cell phone driving or triple riding .
The inspector further advised the students to report to police whenever they find youth indulging in eve teasing, harassing women .
Stringent punishment would be awarded under the law to such eve teasers, he added.
The Inspector informed the students that those who render immediate assistance to the road accident victims would be rewarded with a cash prize of Rs.25,000 under Good Samaritan scheme.
He explained the students in detail on various types of cyber crimes in the fake loans, online jobs, digital arrests and advised them to call on 112,1930 and 1972 for help during emergencies.
