AP: Three-day National Conference on Vaishnava Acharyas in Tirupati from Aug 17

Tirupati, Aug 16 (TNT): The TTD Alwar Divya Prabandha Project will organise a three-day National Conference on the Spiritual Contributions of Vaishnava Acharyas at Annamacharya Kala Mandiram here from August 17 to 19.

The conference will commence on Monday with the blessings of Tirumala Pedda Jeeyar Swamiji and Chinna Jeeyar Swamiji, TTD said in a release here on Sunday.

The conference will focus on the lives and spiritual contributions of Ramanujacharya, Acharya Pundarikaksha, Govinda Bhattar (Embar) and Dasarathi (Mudaliandan), besides their role in propagating Visishtadvaita philosophy and preserving temple traditions and practices.

Twenty-five researchers and scholars from Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Tamil Nadu and Karnataka will participate in the conference and present research papers on the growth of the Vaishnava tradition, contributions of the Acharyas and Divya Prabandham.

The conference aims to highlight the rich heritage of the Sri Vaishnava tradition and bring its spiritual and scholarly contributions to the attention of the present generation.
