Two Garuda Sevas in Tirumala this month
Tirumala, Aug 16 (TNT) : Devotees will have the opportunity to witness two Garuda Vahana Sevas in Tirumala this month, on the occasions of Garuda Panchami and Sravana Pournami.
The Garuda Seva in Tirumala is a sacred grand procession where Lord Malayappa Swamy (Lord Venkateswara) rides the divine Garuda Vahanam along the four Mada streets.
The Garuda Vahana Seva in connection with Garuda Panchami will be held on Monday, August 17.
On the occasion, Sri Malayappa Swamy will take a celestial procession on His favourite Garuda Vahanam along the four Mada streets from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. and bless the devotees.
The Sravana Pournami Garuda Seva will be held on August 28, with Sri Malayappa Swamy taking a procession on Garuda Vahanam along the four Mada streets from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
The Trial Run Garuda Seva for the annual Srivari Salakatla Brahmotsavams will also be conducted on August 28. The annual Brahmotsavams are scheduled to be held from September 15 to 23.
As part of the trial run, TTD senior officials will inspect the arrangements and facilities being made for devotees, besides reviewing engineering works and other arrangements along the four Mada streets ahead of the annual Brahmotsavams.
