Visakhapatnam: RINL CMD calls for unity, discipline to overcome challenges
Visakhapatnam, Aug 15 (TNT): Rashtriya Ispat Nigam Limited (RINL) Chairman and Managing Director M N V S Prabhakar on Saturday called upon employees to maintain unity, discipline and dedication to overcome the challenges facing the company and help it regain its position among India’s leading steel plants.
Addressing the gathering after hoisting the National Flag at the 80th Independence Day celebrations here, Prabhakar expressed confidence that collective efforts would help RINL emerge once again as a source of pride for the nation.
Paying tributes to freedom fighters, he said that while India attained political freedom in 1947, true freedom lay in achieving economic self-reliance.
Visakhapatnam Steel Plant had an important role to play in strengthening the country’s industrial capabilities, he said.
Every tonne of steel produced by RINL contributed to the nation’s growth and strengthened the vision of Atmanirbhar Bharat, the CMD said.
Recalling RINL-VSP’s rich history and its ability to overcome challenges, Prabhakar said the present difficulties too could be overcome through collective efforts and unity.
He emphasised that discipline and safety remained the highest priorities and called upon employees to uphold honesty, discipline and dedication while focusing on productivity and quality.
The CMD urged employees to work together as a team and contribute towards restoring RINL’s position among India’s leading steel plants.
The Independence Day celebrations were attended by RINL Directors, CVO, CISF Commandant, heads of departments, employees, CISF personnel, trade union members, representatives of various associations, schoolchildren, teachers and residents of Ukkunagaram.
