21 CBI Officers Honoured with President’s Medals on Independence Day

New Delhi, Aug 14 (TNT): As many as 21 officers and officials of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) have been honoured with the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service (PSM) and Medal for Meritorious Service (MSM) on the occasion of Independence Day 2026.

According to a CBI press release, the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service has been awarded to six officers, while 15 officers and officials have received the Medal for Meritorious Service.

Among those conferred the President’s Medal for Distinguished Service are Shobha Dutta, Assistant Inspector General of Police/SP, CBI, Complaint & Coordination Cell, New Delhi; Manoj Banerjee, Additional Superintendent of Police, CBI, BSFB, Kolkata; Ginni Rana, Additional Superintendent of Police, CBI Academy, Ghaziabad; Sanjay Kumar Sama, Deputy Superintendent of Police, CBI, ACU-6, Visakhapatnam; Ramesh Chand, Assistant Sub-Inspector, CBI, Head Office, New Delhi; and Madan Lal Dhand, Assistant Sub-Inspector, CBI, IPCC, New Delhi.

The Medal for Meritorious Service has been awarded to 15 officers and officials serving in various CBI units across the country, including Lucknow, Mumbai, Delhi, Chandigarh, Hyderabad, Jaipur and Bengaluru, the release added.
