AP: SIPB clears 25 projects worth Rs 2.08 lakh crore, to create 21,627 jobs
Amaravati, Aug 12 (TNT): The 20th State Investment Promotion Board (SIPB), chaired by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu, has approved investment proposals worth Rs 2,08,406 crore covering 25 projects, expected to create 21,627 direct employment opportunities.
The Chief Minister directed officials to credit industrial incentives into escrow accounts from December and stressed the need to determine the extent of incentives that could realistically be provided to industries.
Naidu also called for a focused plan to establish industrial projects in rural areas so that industrialisation contributes to the development of those regions.
He directed officials to attract investments in emerging sectors such as green ammonia, lithium batteries and robotics and study measures required to promote industries in these fields.
The Chief Minister also called for creating awareness among the public about industrial projects being established across the State, alleging that misinformation was being spread by some groups by portraying industries as polluting units.
Referring to data centres coming up in North Andhra, Naidu said they would require only 3.5 TMC of water and directed officials to dispel misconceptions regarding their water requirements.
He also called for continuous monitoring of industrial development and action against what he described as fake campaigns on social media.
He said abundant water would be supplied to industries in Visakhapatnam through gravity flow from the Polavaram Left Canal and directed officials to assess the value being added to the State’s ecosystem by industries being established in Andhra Pradesh.
The Chief Minister also called for distinctive architectural designs for hotels and hospitality projects coming up in the State to attract tourists.
He said defence projects being established in Andhra Pradesh were a matter of pride for the nation and directed officials to facilitate defence projects near Puttaparthi and aerospace projects near Hindupur.
Naidu directed officials to complete construction of Moolapeta Port by December for its inauguration during the month and called for integrating logistics, modern warehousing and cold-chain projects.
He stressed the need to strengthen road, rail and port connectivity to facilitate the movement of horticultural produce from Rayalaseema to international markets.
The Chief Minister directed officials to accelerate the completion of investment agreements signed during the past year and projects approved by the SIPB.
He set a target of completing the remaining 37 MSME parks by September, with the objective of making industrial parks available in all 175 Assembly constituencies.
He also directed officials to implement the One Family-One Entrepreneur programme on a large scale.
Among the projects approved at the SIPB meeting, Okair Green Fuels will invest Rs 616 crore in Kurnool district and create 130 jobs, while Jackson Green Renewable will invest Rs 1,533 crore in Kurnool with an employment potential of 250.
Waaree Clean Energy Solutions will invest Rs 15,000 crore in Kakinada district and create 1,500 jobs, while Data Center Holdings India will invest Rs 58,743 crore in Visakhapatnam with 1,250 jobs.
ReNew AP Green Data Center will invest Rs 85,200 crore in Anakapalli district and create 1,880 jobs, while AM Intelligence Labs will invest Rs 31,387 crore in Visakhapatnam and create 1,000 jobs.
Munoth Lithium Battery Ltd will invest Rs 500 crore in Tirupati district and create 240 jobs, while AIL Dixon India Ltd will invest Rs 450 crore at Kopparthi Cluster in Kadapa district and create 7,000 jobs.
Agastya Green Energy Ltd will invest Rs 7,799.96 crore in Kurnool district and create 1,000 jobs, while Akshat Green Tech Ltd will invest Rs 1,600 crore in Visakhapatnam and generate 750 jobs.
Coromandel International will invest Rs 2,125 crore at Moolapeta in Srikakulam district and create 400 jobs, while Hindalco Industries Ltd will invest Rs 880 crore at Kuppam in Chittoor district and create 447 jobs.
VPR Mining Infrastructure will invest Rs 500 crore at Manubolu in Nellore district, with an employment potential of 2,000 jobs, while Prisoal Agro Industries will invest Rs 330.71 crore in Nellore district and create 1,110 jobs.
Other approved projects include FPEL Ravved Power (Rs 480 crore, 275 jobs), Aradhya Biogas (Rs 143.47 crore, 595 jobs), Ushodaya Biogas (Rs 143.47 crore, 595 jobs), CRR Hospitality (Rs 192.02 crore, 200 jobs), RK 2 Infrastructure (Rs 150 crore, 150 jobs), Sunrise Hotels India (Rs 54 crore, 75 jobs), JSP Hotels & Resorts (Rs 63.79 crore, 100 jobs), Pavuluri Hotels (Rs 58.74 crore, 150 jobs), Estrela Logistics (Rs 90 crore, 100 jobs), Ganesh Sai Mounisha Steel Wires (Rs 66 crore, 120 jobs) and Jayaditya Agro (Rs 300 crore, 350 jobs).
