ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education gets DIAMOND rating in QS I-GAUGE assessment

Hyderabad, Aug 11 (TNT): ICFAI Foundation for Higher Education (IFHE), Hyderabad, has received the DIAMOND rating in its maiden QS I-GAUGE assessment, recognising its performance in academic excellence, employability, infrastructure and institutional practices.

IFHE is the first higher education institution in Telangana to receive the QS I-GAUGE rating, the institution said in a release here on Tuesday.

QS I-GAUGE is an independent 360-degree rating framework for Indian higher education institutions, assessing them on parameters including teaching and learning, student quality, employability, research, governance, social responsibility and facilities.

IFHE received DIAMOND ratings in Teaching and Learning, Employability and Facilities, while it secured the highest PLATINUM rating in Faculty Quality, Social Responsibility, Governance and Structure, and Academic Development, the release said.

The ratings reflect the institution’s academic standards, student outcomes, industry linkages, infrastructure, faculty quality and institutional governance, it said.

Speaking on the achievement, IFHE Vice-Chancellor Prof A Vinay Kumar said the DIAMOND rating was a proud moment for the university community and reflected the efforts of its faculty, staff and students.

The recognition reaffirmed the institution’s commitment to providing world-class higher education and continuous improvement, he said.

QS I-GAUGE, developed under the QS (Quacquarelli Symonds) brand in partnership with Indian education experts, is modelled on the globally recognised QS Stars methodology.

The framework evaluates higher education institutions across areas including teaching and learning, employability, research and innovation, governance and social responsibility. Institutions are assessed by the QS Intelligence Unit in London and awarded ratings ranging from Bronze to Platinum+, the release added.
