Tribeca Developers announces Rs 1,800-cr Trump Towers project in Hyderabad; First in South India
Hyderabad, Aug 11 (TNT): Tribeca Developers, a leading developer of luxury properties in India, on Tuesday announced the launch of Trump Towers Hyderabad, a landmark residential project in Kokapet with an estimated investment of Rs 1,800 crore, excluding land cost.
Hyderabad was a natural choice for Trump’s first entry into South India and a member of the Trump family is expected to be present for the launch, Tribeca Developers Founder Kalpesh Mehta said.
“We are hoping Mr Eric Trump, Executive Vice President of the Trump Organisation, will be in India before the end of the year to launch this project,” Mehta, said at a press conference here along with its partner Narsi Reddy, Founder and Managing Director of Ira Realty.
The project, being developed on four acres by Tribeca Developers in collaboration with Ira Reality, will have a total built-up area of 2.2 million square feet, making it the largest Trump-branded project in India by area, he said.
The project will comprise two 65-storey towers rising approximately 800 feet and connected by a suspended sky bridge at the 28th floor, Mehta said.
“This will be the largest Trump project in India by square feet and one of the tallest, if not the tallest, projects in South India,” he said.
The project will feature more than 450 residences, including 3.5 and 4 BHK homes and a collection of double-height simplex residences. Each home will have a private lift lobby and floor-to-ceiling glazing, while additional amenities will be provided across a landscaped podium, the developers said.
The project is scheduled to be formally launched around mid-October and is expected to be completed in about five years, Mehta said.
The project has received RERA registration and Expressions of Interest (EOIs) are currently open, with early registrants being offered priority allocation ahead of the formal sales launch, the company said in a release.
Mehta said the project would be the eighth Trump-branded project in India and the first in South India.
“After having been present in India for almost 14 years, and with Trump projects announced in cities such as Mumbai, Pune, Gurgaon, Noida and Kolkata, there was no Trump project in South India. This would be the first Trump project and also the tallest in South India,” he said.
India is the largest market for Trump-branded properties outside North America, Mehta said, adding that the country has more Trump projects than any other country except the US.
He said the company had received strong initial demand for Trump Towers Hyderabad even before its formal launch.
“After the success of Trump Residences, Gurgaon, which we launched last year and where we sold over Rs 3,000 crore in a single day, we thought it would be hard to top that. But we were pleasantly surprised,” he said.
The team has already sold penthouses worth Rs 250 crore within two weeks of receiving RERA registration, without any marketing campaign, he said. One of the penthouses was sold for around Rs 60 crore, Mehta added.
“Early indications are that there is very, very strong demand for this product,” he said.
Mehta said Hyderabad was selected for Trump’s South India entry due to its strong economic fundamentals and demand for branded luxury properties.
“The per capita income in Hyderabad is higher than even in Delhi and there is also a huge demand for branded and luxury products,” he said.
Asked about expansion plans in South India, Mehta said the company was evaluating a couple of other cities in the region.
Tribeca Developers currently has a portfolio of around Rs 26,000 crore across 13 projects in India and is targeting sales of around Rs 4,500 crore in FY 2026-27, compared with Rs 3,500 crore in the previous financial year, he said.
“We are looking at doubling our portfolio, which is currently about Rs 26,000 crore, in the next three years,” Mehta said.
Of the eight Trump projects in India, six are currently under construction and two have already been delivered, he added.
