Telangana CM, eminent economit Arvind Subramanian Discuss Roadmap for Fiscal Reforms

Hyderabad, Aug. 7 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Friday held discussions with noted economist and former Chief Economic Adviser to the Government of India Dr. Arvind Subramanian on measures to strengthen the State’s economy through reforms in the GST and Excise sectors.

During the meeting at the MCR Human Resource Development Institute (MCRHRD) here, the two deliberated on ways to enhance the State’s revenue while improving the Ease of Doing Business.

They also discussed a roadmap for strengthening Telangana’s fiscal position through reforms in taxation and public financial management.

Chief Minister’s Advisor K. Ramakrishna Rao, Chief Secretary Sanjay Jaju, Commercial Taxes and Excise Secretary Raghunandan Rao, Excise Commissioner Hari Kiran, and other senior officials attended the meeting.
