Tirupati: Ankurarpanam for Sri Kodandarama Swamy Pavitrotsavams on Aug. 7
Tirupati, Aug. 6 (TNT): Ankurarpanam for the annual Pavitrotsavams of Sri Kodandarama Swamy Temple will be performed on Friday evening, marking the commencement of the three-day festival to be held from August 8 to 10.
The annual Pavitrotsavams are conducted to uphold the sanctity of the temple through Vedic rituals and to atone for any inadvertent lapses in the conduct of daily and annual rituals.
During the festival, Snapana Tirumanjanam, special yajnas and processions of the deity will be performed every day.
Devotees can participate in the Pavitrotsavams by paying Rs. 500 per couple.
As part of the celebrations, the TTD’s Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and Annamacharya Project will organise spiritual discourses and devotional music programmes throughout the festival.
