HRID Chennai Concludes Two-Day National Hindi Workshop
Chennai, Aug. 6 (TNT): The Homoeopathic Research Institute for Disabilities (HRID), Chennai, under the Central Council for Research in Homoeopathy (CCRH), Ministry of AYUSH, concluded a two-day national Hindi workshop on Thursday as part of the Rajbhasha implementation programme for officers and staff of the Council.
Nearly 50 delegates from HRID Chennai and various CCRH institutes and units across the country participated in the workshop held at Muttukadu near Chennai.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Bela, Deputy Director, Hindi Teaching Scheme, Department of Official Language, Ministry of Home Affairs.
The programme was coordinated by Meenakshi Bhatia, Senior Librarian and Hindi Implementation Officer, CCRH, New Delhi, while local arrangements were overseen by Dr. D. Karthikeyan, Officer-in-Charge, HRID Chennai, and Dr. Kolli Raju, Consultant (Homoeopathy), HRID Chennai.
Senior CCRH officials, including Sukriti Singh, Assistant Director (Administration), and Uthaman Nair, Accounts Officer, attended the inaugural session and reviewed the proceedings.
The workshop featured technical sessions on the implementation of the Official Language policy in Central Government offices.
Dr. Bela delivered a lecture on “Raj Bhasha Hindi: Niti se Vyavahar Tak”, while Dr. Supraja, Assistant Director, Hindi Teaching Scheme, spoke on the role of officers and employees in implementing the Official Language policy. Hari Ganesh, Assistant Director, Hindi Teaching Scheme, addressed participants on the use of Hindi in research reports, project proposals and publications.
The sessions covered provisions of the Official Languages Act, 1963, and the Official Language Rules, 1976, relating to the use of Hindi in Central Government offices.
Interactive competitions, including Hindi quiz, poetry recitation and debate, were also organised as part of the workshop.
At the valedictory function, Sukriti Singh and Uthaman Nair distributed prizes and certificates to the winners.
