JLL Opens Global Capability Centre in Hyderabad; Minister Sridhar Babu Inaugurates Facility

Hyderabad, Aug. 6 (TNT): Global commercial real estate and investment management company JLL on Thursday inaugurated its Global Capability Centre (GCC) for JLL Business Services (JBS) in Hyderabad.

Telangana Information Technology and Industries Minister D. Sridhar Babu formally opened the facility.

The new centre, spread over 1,20,000 sq. ft. across two floors at Prestige Sky Tech in the Financial District, is JBS’s second hub in India after Gurugram.

In a release, the company said the facility would scale up to 1,600 employees over the next two years.

Addressing the gathering, Sridhar Babu said Hyderabad had emerged as a preferred destination for Global Capability Centres, with Telangana attracting nearly 150 GCCs over the past 20 months, generating more than 1.5 lakh high-value technology jobs.

The Minister said Telangana’s GCC strategy was aimed at creating future-ready employment opportunities at a time when artificial intelligence, automation and global restructuring were transforming the technology sector.

He said JLL’s decision to establish its new centre in Hyderabad reflected the city’s growing stature as a global investment and innovation hub.

JLL Business Services Chief Shared Service Centre Officer Matthew Rees said the company’s decision to set up the GCC in Hyderabad was driven by the city’s deep talent pool and strong innovation ecosystem.

The facility would support JLL’s global Accelerate 2030 strategy by integrating skilled talent with standardised processes and AI-enabled workflows, he added.

Dheeraj Popli, Head, Global Service Centre, India, JLL Business Services, said Hyderabad’s large STEM talent base and leadership in sectors such as financial services, healthcare, biotechnology and semiconductors made it an ideal location for the company’s expanding global operations.

JLL said the new centre would deliver advanced analytics, technology-enabled solutions and business support services across finance, human resources, project management, lease administration and business process optimisation for its global operations.

The company noted that Hyderabad accounted for 16 per cent of India’s GCC office leasing activity between 2024 and mid-2026, while GCCs represented 42 per cent of the city’s total office leasing during the period, underscoring its emergence as a leading global capability centre destination.

The LEED-certified facility features hybrid workspaces, advanced digital infrastructure, accessibility-focused design and employee wellness amenities inspired by Hyderabad’s cultural heritage.
