He stated that celebrating Sevalal Jayanti officially is the government’s responsibility.
Acknowledging the significant role played by the Lambada community in the Telangana statehood movement, the Chief Minister remembered Suresh Nayak and Kavitha Nayak, who laid down their lives during the agitation.
He emphasized that tribals and Dalits must receive due priority and respect in Telangana.
Sharing his personal journey, Revanth Reddy recalled that when he contested as a ZPTC candidate, youth from tandas played a crucial role in his victory.
“Throughout my 20-year political journey, Lambada brothers have stood firmly by me. Their support has been instrumental in my rise to the position of Chief Minister,” he said.
Announcing a series of initiatives aimed at the comprehensive development of tribal tandas, he said proper road and drinking water facilities would be ensured for tribal habitations.
Calling the ration card a symbol of dignity for the poor, he said fine rice is being distributed to 3.15 crore beneficiaries. The government is providing 200 units of free electricity to 50 lakh poor households and has spent Rs 9,000 crore over the past two years on free bus travel in RTC services.
Additionally, Rs 1,000 crore has been allocated to set up solar power plants for women’s self-help groups, benefiting many tribal women, he said.
The Chief Minister said hostel mess and cosmetic charges have been increased to improve student welfare.
Despite legal hurdles in the Group-1 recruitment process, the government approached the court and successfully declared the results, with 87 per cent of the jobs going to SC, ST and BC candidates.
He said 70,000 government jobs have been filled in the past two years.
Emphasizing that education is key to overcoming poverty, Revanth Reddy said the government plans to build Young India Schools in 100 constituencies at a cost of Rs 20,000 crore to provide quality education and urged students to study with a clear plan.
Clarifying his recent remarks in which he said “I am the King, I am the Minister,” the Chief Minister stated that he meant he was taking full responsibility for municipal election results in his capacity as Chief Minister and Municipal Minister.
He reiterated that his only goal is service and affirmed that the government remains committed to working for the poor irrespective of electoral outcomes.
