Telangana Governor, First Lady Offer Bonam at Lok Bhavan

Hyderabad, Aug. 4 (TNT): Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla and First Lady Janaki Shukla on Tuesday offered Bonam and silk vastrams to the presiding Goddess during the Bonalu celebrations held at Lok Bhavan, and performed special prayers for the health, prosperity, peace and well-being of the people of Telangana.

The celebrations witnessed the participation of Lok Bhavan officials, employees and their family members, who joined the festivities in keeping with the State’s cultural and spiritual traditions.

The programme featured devotional folk songs in praise of the Goddess by traditional artistes, while the vibrant performances of Pothurajus drew enthusiastic response from the gathering.

Traditional drum beats and colourful cultural performances added to the festive atmosphere, marking the Bonalu celebrations with devotion and cultural fervour at Lok Bhavan.
