Amaravati, Apr 8 (TNT): A delegation from the World Bank met Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu, at the Secretariat hee on Wednesday and appreciated the progress of ongoing construction works in Amaravati (state capital), expressing optimism over its future potential.
The delegation observed that the development of infrastructure, along with reforms in the IT and power sectors, is expected to position Amaravati as a major destination for international investments, an official release said here.
It opined that Amaravati has the potential to emerge as the growth engine of the state and, with world-class infrastructure, could become a major hub for commercial and economic activities.
During the meeting, Naidu informed the delegation that the government is focusing not only on building a world-class capital city but also on ensuring balanced and inclusive development across the state.
He said strategic plans are being prepared to promote growth across three regions to ensure comprehensive development of ‘Andhra Pradesh’ .
