Gandhinagar, Mar19 (TNT) : Wipro Ltd, a leading AI-powered technology services and consulting company, on Thursday announced the launch of a new hub at the Gujarat International Finance Tec-City (GIFT City), Gandhinagar to strengthen its capabilities in delivering AI-powered solutions to the banking, financial services and insurance (BFSI) sector.
The company said the new centre will focus on developing next-generation, AI-first and consulting-led financial services solutions, including digital banking, capital markets, regulatory technology, risk and compliance, and core platform modernisation.
The hub will initially have 150 seats, with the capacity to scale up to 500 based on client demand.
Wipro said the expansion will enhance its ability to co-innovate with global clients, deploy responsible AI solutions and support the growing demand for technology-led transformation in the BFSI sector.
Gujarat Deputy Chief Minister Harsh Sanghavi said the move reflects the state’s emergence as a global hub for financial and technology services, while Wipro Chief Operating Officer Sanjeev Jain termed it a strategic investment to scale AI-driven transformation capabilities.
The company added that the new centre will also support the development of local talent in Gujarat’s growing IT ecosystem.
