Kakinada, Mar 7 (TNT): Municipal commissioner NVV Satyanarayana proved himself a task master who during his field visit to third division three temples center, Santhanapuri colony on Saturday was irked on seeing one house owner using municipal tap water for cleaning the house entrance and also the road through a pipe and immediately ordered the staff to disconnect the tap for two days as a punishment.
He also admonished the house owner for wastage of the precious drinking water.
The commissioner also reprimanded the traders for encroaching the drains for doing their business and warned of encroachments removal pressing into service JCB within a two days.
Later the commissioner inspected the community toilets complex nearby and expressed his unpleasantness over the poor maintenance of the toilets.
He has instructed the sanitary inspector to solve the toilet problems by overhauling and also clean the surrounding areas .
On noticing that some people, throwing the cooked rice on the roads, the Commissioner not only warned them but also made them to clear the rice on their own.
He further warned them stringent action would be initiated including levying of heavy penalties if the similar thing is repeated in future.
The Commissioner visited each and every house hold in the area and interacted the people on their problems such as street lights functioning or not, sanitary workers regularly visiting the area and cleaning the garbage.
