Union Budget 2026–27 gives strong boost to exports, manufacturing and MSMEs: FIEO

Hyderabad/ New Delhi, Feb 1 (TNT):  The Federation of Indian Export Organisations (FIEO) on Sunday welcomed the Union Budget 2026–27, describing it as a business-friendly and export-enabling Budget that strengthens India’s manufacturing and MSME growth prospects.

In a statement, FIEO President S C Ralhan said the Budget’s clear focus on manufacturing, infrastructure, MSMEs and services, backed by tax and customs reforms, will improve India’s global competitiveness and provide exporters with policy stability.

He noted that initiatives covering high-value sectors, revival of industrial clusters, and trade facilitation measures will reduce costs, enhance ease of doing business and improve supply-chain efficiency.

Highlighting MSME support, FIEO said measures such as the SME Growth Fund, enhanced credit guarantees, and mandatory CPSE onboarding on TReDS will ease liquidity constraints and help small businesses scale up.

The continued push on logistics, services exports and public capital expenditure, FIEO added, positions the Budget as a positive signal for industry, investors and global markets, reinforcing India’s role as a reliable trade and manufacturing hub.
