Tirupati, Mar 17 (TNT): Ugadi celebrations marking the Sri Parabhava Nama Samvatsaram will be held grandly at Mahati Kalakshetram, here on March 19, under the joint auspices of the TTD Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad and the Welfare Department.
The programme will commence at 9:30 AM with Mangala Dhwani presented by the SV College of Music and Dance.
This will be followed by Veda Parayanam by scholars from the SV Higher Vedic Studies Institute.
At 10:05 AM, eminent scholars will present the Panchanga Sravanam, followed by a Kavi Sammelanam (poets’ meet).
Subsequently Dr. Poojari Varalakshmi will present Bhagavad Gita Anushtanam, Sri Hema Venkata Narayana will perform Bhagavad Gita Ashtavadhanam and Cultural programmes will be presented by the children of TTD employees
Prizes will be distributed to winners of various competitions conducted for employees. The programme will conclude with the distribution of Ugadi Pachadi as prasadam.
