TTD to Implement Special Measures to Enhance Quality of Education: JEO*

Tirupati, Mar 17 (TNT): Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams (TTD) Joint Executive Officer (Medical & Education) Dr A. Sharath on Tuesday called for special measures to further improve the quality of education in TTD-run institutions from the next academic year.

Addressing a review meeting with principals and headmasters at SV Arts College, Dr Sharath said the focus should be on imparting not only academic knowledge but also skills and values to shape students into responsible citizens.

He emphasised the need for better supervision, guidance and targeted attention to improve academic performance, suggesting that students be grouped based on learning abilities to ensure peer support and improved outcomes.

He said effective teaching methods and special attention to weaker students could help achieve 100 per cent pass results.

He also stressed the importance of employment-oriented courses, timely syllabus completion, and adoption of digital teaching methods, including smart classrooms. Teachers were advised to prepare lesson plans in advance, provide career guidance and counselling, and continuously monitor student progress while incorporating feedback from parents and students.

Referring to ongoing initiatives, he said several steps are being taken under the guidance of Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu and TTD leadership to strengthen the education system.

On the occasion, the JEO congratulated K. Pradeep, a student of SV Music College, for winning first prize in a national-level drum (Dolu) competition held at Sathyabama University, Chennai, where participants from around 150 universities took part.
