Hyderabad, Mar 13 (TNT): TTD Chairman B.R. Naidu visited Sri Venkateswara Veda Vignana Peetham located at Keesaragutta near Hyderabad on Friday.
Upon his arrival at the Veda Patasala, Naidu was accorded a traditional welcome with Purnakumbham by the Vedic scholars.
Later, amid Vedic blessings, he proceeded to the prayer hall and offered special prayers to Lord Sri Venkateswara along with the Vedic scholars and students.
On this occasion, the Vedic scholars felicitated him with a shawl, garland, and fruits.
Later, the TTD Chairman enquired about the functioning of the Sri Venkateswara Veda Patasala being run under TTD.
He sought details about the year of establishment of the institution and the number of students currently pursuing Vedic education.
He also suggested that plans should be prepared to increase the number of Vedic students.
He further interacted with the Vedic scholars, students, and staff to know if they were facing any issues. The students and faculty expressed satisfaction over the facilities being provided at the institution.
Speaking on the occasion, Veda Patasala Principal Guda Srinivasa Sharma Avadhani informed the Chairman that the institution was established in 1981 and currently 132 students are studying Vedic education in the Patasala.
