Hyderabad, Mar 19 (TNT): The Hyderabad Traffic Police on Thursday announced traffic restrictions and diversions in parts of the city in connection with Jummat-ul-Vida (last Friday of Ramzan) prayers at Mecca Masjid on March 20.
According to officials, major roads from Charminar towards Madina, Murgi Chowk and Shalibanda will remain closed for all vehicular traffic from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm.
Traffic will be diverted at key junctions including Madina, Himmatpura, Chowk Maidan Kaman, Motigalli, Etebar Chowk, Sher-e-Batil Kaman and Lakkad Kote.
Several parking arrangements have been made for devotees, including at Gulzar Function Hall, Mufeed-ul-Anam Ground, Charminar Bus Terminal, AU Hospital, Khilwat Ground and areas near Chowmohalla Palace.
RTC buses heading towards Charminar will be terminated at Afzalgunj, while buses travelling towards districts will be diverted via Chaderghat, Saidabad, IS Sadan, DMRL Junction and Aramghar.
In Secunderabad, Subhash Road (between Mahankali Police Station and Old Ramgopalpet junction) will be closed from 9:00 am to 1:00 pm, with diversions in place via Ranigunj and Paradise.
The police have advised commuters to plan their travel accordingly and follow traffic updates on official social media platforms.
