Hyderabad, Feb 6 (TNT): As part of the field visits by Secretaries to the Government, C. V. Anand, Special Chief Secretary to Government(Home Department), visited the Directorate of Prosecution, Telangana, and reviewed its functioning here on Friday.
During the visit, Anand inaugurated the e-Office application for the Directorate of Prosecution.
Speaking on the occasion, he said the initiative was in line with the Telangana Rising 2047 Vision Document and underscored the State government’s commitment to paperless administration, faster disposal of files, and efficient decision-making to improve the quality and pace of governance.
The Special Chief Secretary congratulated the Director of Prosecution and the staff for successfully onboarding and operationalising the e-Office system in the department.
On the occasion, he also inaugurated the Facial Recognition Attendance Management System (FRAMS) for the Prosecution Department, stating that the system would improve efficiency, accountability, and regular attendance, besides enabling electronic maintenance of attendance records as part of the government’s digitalisation drive.
Anand later held a review meeting with the Director of Prosecution and senior officers, advising them to ensure speedy disposal of files and further strengthen administrative efficiency.
The Director of Prosecution, S. Sambasiva Reddy, made a detailed presentation on the department’s functioning, initiatives, and achievements, and sought government support on certain issues, to which the Special Chief Secretary responded positively.
The Special Chief Secretary also reviewed the implementation of the new criminal laws and appreciated the efforts of prosecutors in drafting circulars, Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Government Orders, and related guidelines.
He offered guidance on measures required for their effective implementation.
