Telangana to Release Rythu Bharosa First Installment from Mar 22; CM to Launch in Siddipet

Hyderabad, Mar 15 (TNT): The Telangana government will release the first installment of assistance under the Rythu Bharosa scheme from March 22, providing financial support to farmers across the state.

Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will launch the disbursement of the first installment at a programme to be held in Narmetta in Siddipet district, an official release from CMs office said here on Sunday.

The decision was taken at a meeting chaired by the Chief Minister on Sunday with Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka, Agriculture Minister Tummala Nageshwar Rao and senior officials to review the release of funds under the scheme.

According to officials, the first installment of Rs 3,590 crore will be credited on March 22 to around 70 lakh farmers owning up to one acre of agricultural land.

The second installment of Rs 2,650 crore will be deposited into farmers’ bank accounts after a gap of 20 days, while the remaining amount will be released by the end of April.

The state government will spend a total of Rs 9,000 crore under the Rythu Bharosa scheme, officials said.

Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, Chief Minister’s Principal Secretary Seshadri, Finance Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania and Agriculture Secretary Surendra Mohan were present at the meeting.
