Telangana Records Highest Ever Power Demand of 6,267 MW

Hyderabad, Mar 1 (TNT): Telangana Northern Power Distribution Company Limited (TGNPDC) on Sunday recorded its highest-ever peak electricity demand of 6,267 megawatts, surpassing Saturday’s 6,057 MW, CMD Karnati Varun Reddy said.

He described the milestone as a result of the company’s pre-planned measures to ensure uninterrupted power supply amid rising summer temperatures.

“Despite soaring demand, TGNPDC is fully prepared to provide continuous electricity without any disruption,” he said, highlighting special focus on infrastructure development.

Reddy credited the uninterrupted supply to the constant guidance and supervision of Chief Minister  A. Revanth Reddy, Deputy Chief Minister  Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka, and Energy Department Special Chief Secretary Naveen Mittal.

The CMD added that with demand expected to rise further in the coming summer, the company is taking proactive measures to avoid any inconvenience to consumers.
