Telangana Police Clinch ‘Overall Champion’ Title at All India Police Deduty Meet in Nagpur

Hyderabad, Apr 3 (TNT): The Telangana Police has created a new record by winning the ‘Overall Champion’ trophy for the third consecutive year at the 69th All India Police Duty Meet held in Nagpur, Maharashtra.

The state police team delivered an outstanding performance, completing a hat-trick of victories at the national level, having earlier secured the title in Lucknow (2023–24) and Ranchi (2024–25).

Director General of Police B Shivadhar Reddy on Friday congratulated the winners and their trainers, stating that the achievement marks another milestone in the state’s prestige. He attributed the success to the dedication, discipline, and rigorous training of the officers.

The teams, trained under the supervision of the CID wing, excelled across multiple categories, securing top honours at the national meet.

The DGP said the victory reflects the force’s professional competence, preparedness, and strong field performance.

The Telangana Police secured first place and gold medals in key events such as Anti-Sabotage Check, Videography, and Computer Awareness.

The team also finished runner-up in Scientific Aids to Investigation and Police Photography categories.

Highlighting the importance of technology-driven policing, the DGP said the results reaffirm Telangana Police’s leadership in adopting advanced methods for criminal investigation.

Overall, the team won six gold, three silver, and three bronze medals.

The DGP also congratulated CID Additional DGP Charu Sinha, chief coaches, team management, and all personnel involved in the achievement.
