Hyderabad, Mar 29 (TNT):Telangana Government to mark Sannabiyyam scheme anniversary with Assembly launch on March 30.
Telangana Irrigation and Civil Supplies Minister N. Uttam Kumar Reddy has invited public representatives and officials to a special lunch programme in the State Assembly to mark the first anniversary of the Sannabiyyam scheme.
According to an official invitation , the Sannabiyyam programme, launched on March 30, 2025, has been extended to all ration beneficiaries under the PDS, covering about 3.39 crore people, or nearly 86 per cent of the state’s population.
To commemorate the milestone, a lunch prepared using PDS Sannabiyyam will be hosted on Monday at the Telangana State Assembly.
The event will be attended by Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy, members of the Council, Speaker, Leader of the Opposition, Deputy Chief Minister, ministers, MLAs and MLCs.
The lunch for legislators will be held from 1 pm to 3 pm at the Central Hall of the Assembly complex.
A separate lunch has also been arranged for media personnel at the Media Point within the Assembly premises.
The minister said the programme marks a significant step in strengthening food security in the state and invited attendees to join the celebrations.
