Hyderabad, Feb 14 (TNT) : Telangana Governor Jishnu Dev Varma on Saturday extended warm greetings and best wishes to the people of the State on the auspicious occasion of Maha Shivaratri, to be observed on February 15.
In his message, the Governor described Maha Shivaratri as “the night of wakefulness and awakening,” highlighting its deep spiritual significance for millions of devotees of Lord Shiva.
He said the festival symbolises the triumph over darkness and ignorance in individual lives and in the world at large.
Recalling the spiritual essence of the occasion, Varma expressed hope that Lord Shiva would bestow happiness, peace, and prosperity on all those who observe the festival with devotion.
The Governor also called upon people to draw inspiration from the occasion to nurture noble thoughts of love, affection, amity, and brotherhood.
“I once again convey my warm greetings to all the people on this auspicious occasion,” he added.
