Telangana Dy CM Bhatti Urges Public Representatives to Adopt Solar Power Under ‘Model Solar Village’ Programme

Hyderabad, Mar 29 (TNT): Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Sunday called upon public representatives to lead by example in adopting solar energy as part of the state government’s “Model Solar Village” initiative.

At a programme held in the Assembly Hall, Bhatti distributed letters to ministers, MLAs and MLCs, inviting them to participate in the initiative aimed at promoting green energy and making Telangana energy-efficient.

He advised public representatives to install 2 KW grid-connected rooftop solar systems at their residences, stating that leadership by example would help create awareness and encourage wider adoption among citizens.

The Dy CM said the initiative would not only reduce household electricity expenses but also contribute significantly to strengthening the state’s renewable energy capacity.

He said interested representatives should submit their residential address and latest electricity bill to the Telangana State Renewable Energy Development Corporation office in Khairatabad, following which technical teams would conduct feasibility assessments and complete installations.

Describing the programme as a step towards sustainability, he said it would help Telangana move towards carbon neutrality and long-term energy security.
