Telangana CS Reviews Industrial Infrastructure Projects

Hyderabad, Mar 9 (TNT) : Telangana Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao,  on Monday reviewed the progress of infrastructure projects being undertaken by the Telangana Industrial Infrastructure Corporation (TGIIC) across the state at a meeting held at the Secretariat.

K. Shashanka, Managing Director of TGIIC, gave a detailed presentation on ongoing projects and infrastructure initiatives aimed at promoting industrial development and attracting investments.

The review covered major projects including the proposed Industrial Smart City at Zaheerabad, Kakatiya Mega Textile Park near Warangal, development of Mega Industrial Hubs, Pharma Clusters and the proposed Bharat Future City.

The Chief Secretary directed officials to develop a digital dashboard capturing key performance indicators such as total investments attracted, number of projects grounded and employment generated through industrial parks and clusters developed by the corporation.

Referring to the proposed Industrial Smart City at Zaheerabad, he asked officials to prepare a focused action plan to attract investors, noting that the project has the potential to emerge as a major industrial destination.

Reviewing the status of the Kakatiya Mega Textile Park, Rao said the park has significant potential to generate large-scale employment, particularly for youth in the region, and instructed officials to ensure that infrastructure works are completed within the stipulated timelines so that industries can commence operations at the earliest.

He also directed officials to prepare a detailed note on issues requiring inter-departmental coordination and emphasised the need to define clear timelines for infrastructure development in various industrial parks and evolve a transparent strategy for land allotment to industries.

Collectors of Ranga Reddy district and Sangareddy district along with TGIIC officials attended the meeting.
