Hyderabad, Mar 29 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Sunday directed officials to complete all works related to the upcoming Godavari Pushkaralu by June 2027 and announced the constitution of a technical engineering committee to develop Pushkar ghats.
Reviewing arrangements for the event, the Chief Minister said a comprehensive master plan had been prepared for the smooth conduct of the event.
He asked the committee to undertake field visits and submit a detailed report within 15 to 20 days.
He said the report, along with cost estimates, would be examined by a Cabinet sub-committee before being placed before the Cabinet for a final decision.
The Chief Minister also ordered the setting up of a coordination “war room” at Praja Bhavan to streamline inter-departmental efforts for the event.
Officials made a presentation on development plans for Pushkar ghats and major temples along the Godavari river stretch between Basara and Bhadrachalam.
The Chief Minister directed that both permanent and temporary works be completed within the stipulated timeline.
He said special focus would be given to expansion of ghats at major temples and key tourist locations, as well as improving road connectivity.
The review also covered development plans for the Basara Sri Gnana Saraswati Temple and other temple infrastructure along the river.
