Hyderabad, Mar 28 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy will address a public meeting at Pippiri village in Boath constituency of Adilabad district on April 6, marking the 99-day “Praja Palana” celebrations and the third anniversary of the “People’s March” padayatra.
Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka on Saturday reviewed arrangements for the event with district collectors and senior officials, directing them to ensure elaborate preparations.
The Chief Minister is scheduled to visit Basara in the morning to offer prayers at the Saraswathi temple before proceeding to Pippiri, where he will address the public meeting at 2 pm.
During the programme, he will distribute documents related to the implementation of assurances made during the padayatra.
Bhatti Vikramarka said the Congress government is committed to fulfilling promises made to the people and noted that steps have been initiated to implement assurances given during the yatra.
He said the “Praja Palana” programme is being conducted across the state at a large scale, including village-level outreach, with the Pippiri meeting forming a key event.
On land issues, he alleged that lands assigned to the poor were included in the prohibited list through the Dharani portal by the previous Bharat Rashtra Samithi government, causing hardship to farmers.
He said the present government enacted the “Bhu Bharati” law to ensure transparency and safeguard farmers’ rights.
Referring to irrigation, he directed officials to expedite pending works under the Komaram Bheem Project and reviewed the status of Chikuman, Pulimadugu and Kupti Triveni Sangamam projects.
For tribal welfare, he asked officials to promote agriculture under the “Indira Soura Giri Jala Vikasam” scheme and extend interest-free loans to tribal women to encourage self-employment.
He also said funds have been allocated for the development of the Nagoba temple at Keslapur following requests made during the padayatra.
The Deputy Chief Minister instructed officials to ensure effective implementation of welfare schemes and create awareness about new initiatives to be launched from June 2.
He said 3,500 Indiramma houses have been sanctioned per constituency and directed officials to accept additional applications in agency and tribal areas to cover all eligible beneficiaries.
