Hyderabad, Apr 2 (TNT): Grama Sabhas were held across Telangana on Thursday as part of the “Praja Palana – Pragathi Pranalika” (People’s Administration – Progress Plan) 99-day action agenda, with Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy calling for active public participation in governance and development.
In a message read out during the Gram Sabhas, Reddy , who is currently on election campaign in Keralam, said the government has been working tirelessly over the past two years and three months to ensure development and welfare of all sections, while overcoming financial challenges and addressing past shortcomings.
Emphasising that the government is guided by the principle of being “servants, not rulers”, he said decisions are taken with priority to public welfare, social responsibility and the state’s future. He added that successive electoral victories reflect continued public trust, strengthening the government’s resolve.
Highlighting the 99-day action plan launched on March 6, he urged officials to focus on resolving local issues, ensuring transparency, maintaining cleanliness in offices and expediting file clearances.
The Chief Minister said welfare schemes, including free bus travel, subsidised LPG cylinders, free electricity up to 200 units, Aarogyasri, ration cards, housing and women’s empowerment initiatives, must reach all eligible beneficiaries.
Referring to the “Telangana Rising – 2047” vision, he said the state aims to emerge as a global leader across sectors, and called upon citizens to contribute towards achieving this goal.
