Hyderabad, Mar 17 (TNT: Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Tuesday congratulated noted Telangana poet and writer Nandini Sidha Reddy for being selected for the Sahitya Akademi Award for 2025.
Expressing happiness over the recognition, the Chief Minister described Sidha Reddy as a distinguished literary figure and a humanist whose works reflect the struggles of mankind and the changing nature of relationships, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Referring to his poetry collection ‘Animesha”, Reddy said the work poignantly captures the social and emotional disruptions witnessed during the pandemic period.
The Chief Minister also lauded Sidha Reddy’s contribution to the Telangana movement, noting that his writings played a significant role in inspiring people and strengthening the spirit of the struggle.
He added that Sidha Reddy remains one of the leading literary voices who have enriched modern Telangana literature through his poetry and writings.
