Hyderabad, Apr 4 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy on Saturday attended a banquet hosted by the state government in honour of Chief Justice of India (CJI) Justice Surya Kant at a hotel in Shamshabad.
The Chief Minister met Justice Surya Kant on the occasion and exchanged courtesies.
Telangana High Court Chief Justice Aparesha Kumar Singh, other judges and senior officials were also present.
Earlier, Justice Surya Kant, who arrived in Telangana to participate in the foundation stone laying ceremony of the Telangana High Court Zone-II building, was accorded a grand welcome by the state government.
He was received by Chief Secretary K. Ramakrishna Rao, Justice Aparesha Kumar Singh, Principal Secretary Srinivas Raju, Rangareddy District Collector C. Narayana Reddy and other dignitaries.
The foundation ceremony is scheduled to be held at Rajendranagar in Ranga Reddy district.
The new High Court complex is being developed over 100 acres in Hyderabad. Zone-II will include residential villas and associated facilities for the Chief Justice and other judges, with around 60 acres earmarked for this component.
