Telangana CM, Dy CM Pay Tributes to Babu Jagjivan Ram on 119th Birth Anniversary

Hyderabad/Khammam, Apr 5 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy and Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Sunday paid tributes to Babu Jagjivan Ram on the occasion of his 119th birth anniversary.

In Hyderabad, the Chief Minister offered floral tributes to the portrait of the freedom fighter and former Deputy Prime Minister at his residence in Jubilee Hills.

Revanth Reddy lauded Jagjivan Ram’s lifelong efforts for the welfare of the underprivileged and working classes.

He recalled that the veteran leader had fought against caste discrimination and untouchability and remained committed to securing the rights of Dalits throughout his life.

The Chief Minister said that, inspired by Babuji’s ideals, the Telangana government is striving to promote social justice and ensure the welfare of all sections of society.

Meanwhile, in Khammam, Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu paid floral tributes to Jagjivan Ram’s statue at NTR Circle.

Speaking on the occasion, he said that the most meaningful tribute to Jagjivan Ram is to carry forward his ideals and follow the path he demonstrated throughout his life.

“Guided by his inspiration, our government is committed to delivering people-centric governance,” he said.

Vikramarka lauded Jagjivan Ram’s immense contributions to the nation, stating that his role in strengthening the foundations of Indian democracy remains unforgettable.

“The policy decisions he made during his tenure as a Union Minister continue to inspire administrators even today. Whether as Defence Minister or in other key roles, he brought dignity, efficiency, and excellence to every department he led,” he said.

He added that Jagjivan Ram’s life serves as a lesson for aspiring politicians, emphasising that his vision and approach were consistently progressive and people-oriented.
