
Hyderabad, Feb 1 (TNT): In a clear signal of its aggressive political intent ahead of the Urban Local Body (ULB) elections, the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Sunday held a high-level strategy meeting focusing on municipal and municipal corporation polls.
The meeting was chaired by BJP Telangana State President N Ramchander Rao at the party’s state office here.
The Election Management Committee discussed election strategies, procedures and campaign programmes in view of the municipal and municipal corporation polls scheduled to be held on February 11.
The meeting was attended by Ashish Shelar, Maharashtra Minister and BJP Election In-charge, Ashok Parnami, former Rajasthan BJP State President and Election Co-in-charge, along with other senior party leaders.
The BJP is contesting 2,996 divisions and wards across 116 municipalities and six municipal corporations in the elections.
