Hyderabad, Apr 7 (TNT): Telangana Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka Mallu on Tuesday said the state’s Audit Department has emerged as the top performer in the country with high standards in online auditing.
He said the department has secured the number one rank nationally for three consecutive times while interacting with senior officials from the Gujarat Audit Department at the Dr B.R. Ambedkar Secretariat here.
The visiting Gujarat team is in Telangana to study the state’s online auditing system.
Welcoming the delegation, the Deputy Chief Minister said the systems in the state are functioning efficiently and assured full cooperation for their study.
He said officials would extend all necessary support to help them understand the auditing processes.
The Gujarat officials said they had visited several gram panchayats over the past two days and found the auditing system in Telangana to be transparent and effective.
The meeting was attended by Finance Department Principal Secretary Sandeep Kumar Sultania, Telangana Audit Department Director Narasimhan and other officials.
