Hyderabad, Mar 18 (TNT): Telangana Chief Minister A. Revanth Reddy on Wednesday extended greetings to the people of Telangana on the occasion of Ugadi, marking the Telugu New Year ‘Sri Parabhava Nama Samvatsaram’, which will commence on Friday.
In a message, the Chief Minister expressed hope that the new year would bring prosperity and good fortune to all sections of society.
He also prayed for timely rains and abundant agricultural output, wishing farmers a year filled with happiness and prosperity.
Recalling the launch of the free ‘Fine Rice’ distribution scheme for ration card holders on Ugadi last year, he said Telangana would continue to achieve growth across sectors and emerge as a model state for the country.
Reddy urged citizens to celebrate the festival with traditional fervour, preserving and promoting the rich cultural heritage of Telangana.
