Hyderabad, Jan 31 (TNT): Sindhu Hospitals on Saturday felicitated eminent oncologist Dr. Nori Dattatreyudu following his conferment with the prestigious Padma Bhushan, recognising his outstanding contributions to oncology and cancer care.
The felicitation ceremony, held at Sindhu Hospitals, was attended by leading clinicians, researchers and members of the medical fraternity, who lauded Dr. Nori’s decades-long efforts in advancing cancer treatment and improving patient outcomes across the world.
Felicitating Dr. Nori, Sindhu Hospitals Chairman Dr. Parthasaradhi Reddy, said the Padma Bhushan award was a proud moment for the medical community and the country.
He recalled his long association with Dr. Nori spanning over three decades and said the hospital was privileged to have him as its Chief Advisor.
Dr. Nori is internationally recognised for his pioneering work in high-dose-rate brachytherapy, which has significantly transformed the treatment of cancers of the cervix, urinary system, chest, head and neck.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Nori emphasised the vital role played by healthcare professionals in patient recovery and stressed that hospitals must strive for excellence through strong safety systems, compassion and science-driven patient care.
