Hyderabad, March 1 (TNT): The Commissioner’s Taskforce, Shamshabad Zone, along with Pahadishareef Police, have busted illegal Ginger-Garlic manufacturing unit by arresting four persons at “SK Royal Enterprises” and “Shahi Gold Companies” in Wadia Mustafa Nagar, Jalpally, Hyderabad.
The raid led to the seizure of products and raw materials valued at Rs. 10 lakh, a police release said here on Sunday.
The accused – Abdul Sattar (45), Mohd Israil (21), Mohd Iftekhar (18), and Noor Nabi (19)— all are residents of Jalpally, Balapur, Hyderabad –were allegedly producing ginger-garlic paste using low-quality ingredients, synthetic colors, and unhygienic conditions, without valid FSSAI registration or labor licenses.
The products were reportedly being supplied to local shops, posing public health risks.
Seized items included 340 kg of loose paste, food colors, citric acid, garlic and salt bags, packaging material, weighing and grinding machines, and over 600 labels.
A case has been registered under sections 318(4), 275, 223 r/w 3(5) BNS at Pahadishareef Police Station.
Hyderabad Commissioner of Police Sajjanar lauded the Taskforce Shamshabad and Pahadishareef teams for their efforts under the supervision of Addl. DCP Muhammad Iqbal Siddiqui.
Authorities have urged citizens to report food adulteration through Dial 100 or Hyderabad City Police, with confidentiality assured.
