Seva Bharati Playing Key Role in Serving Poor:Telangana Governor Shukla

Hyderabad, Mar 29 (TNT): Telangana Governor Shiv Pratap Shukla on Sunday said Seva Bharati has been playing a key role in uplifting poor and underprivileged sections of society.

He was speaking after inaugurating the “Seva Bharati Dr. Hedgewar Blood Centre” at Sultan Bazaar in Hyderabad.

Addressing members of the organisation and medical professionals, the Governor described Seva Bharati as a leading social service institution dedicated to the welfare of weaker sections.

He noted that the blood centre was equipped with modern facilities and advanced technology.

Shukla said the facility would be of great help to patients in need, particularly during emergencies, and urged the public, especially youth, to come forward to donate blood.

He paid tribute to K. B. Hedgewar, describing him as a nationalist who dedicated his life to the service of the nation, and expressed satisfaction that the centre was named after him.

Referring to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, he said public representatives should follow the principle of selfless service to society.

Union Minister G. Kishan Reddy and Seva Bharati Telangana president Durga Reddy, among others, were present at the event.
