Visakhapatnam, Mar 13 (TNT): A 64-year-old Penumatsa Sai Baba Raju , a retired Deputy General Manager from the Instrumentation Department of Visakhapatnam Steel Plant (VSP), has once again demonstrated his commitment to social service by donating blood for the 22nd time.
Responding to an urgent request for O-positive blood, Raju donated at Homi Bhabha Cancer Hospital, Visakhapatnam, on Friday to support a patient from Rayagada district in Odisha who is undergoing treatment there.
Even after his retirement, Raju continues to actively serve society through the Ukkunagaram Sri Sathya Sai Seva Samithi, where he participates as a Sevadal member.
He is also regularly involved in Narayana Seva, organised every Sunday, providing food and support to the needy.
Members of the Sai fraternity and well-wishers have widely appreciated his gesture, praising his humanity, spirit of service and sense of social responsibility.
His continued dedication to blood donation and community service is seen as an inspiration for others to step forward and help save lives.
