Resolve Land Issues by December 2026, Ensure Farmers’ Land Security: AP CM bu Naidu

Kurnool, Mar 9 (TNT): Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu on Monday said the State government is committed to protecting farmers’ interests through land security and aims to resolve all land-related disputes across Andhra Pradesh by December next year.

Participating in the Mee Bhoomi–Mee Hakku programme at Kotha Buruzu in Dhone, Naidu  distributed new Pattadar Passbooks carrying the State Emblem to beneficiaries.

Naidu said the new passbooks have been designed to be tamper-proof and will help eliminate land disputes. The documents include QR codes and are supported by blockchain technology to track changes in land records.

Alleging that the previous government had disrupted the revenue system, the Chief Minister said about 1.95 crore acres were placed under Section 22A and private land records were altered arbitrarily.

He also criticised the earlier administration for introducing the Land Titling Act, which he said made it difficult for landowners to appeal.

Naidu said the present coalition government repealed the Act after coming to power and is now working to correct errors in land records.

The Chief Minister also outlined plans for the development of Rayalaseema, stating that the region would be developed as a horticulture hub with facilities for global exports and agro-processing industries.

He said irrigation facilities are being strengthened and 30 tanks in the Dhone constituency are receiving water through the Handri–Neeva Sujala Sravanthi Project.

Naidu said the government has introduced a paper cover technique to protect mango fruits from pests, offering 50 per cent subsidy on covers. With improved quality, farmers could earn up to ₹40,000 per acre, while mango exports can fetch up to ₹1.7 lakh per tonne in international markets.

The Chief Minister said the Centre has allocated ₹30,000 crore under the Purvodaya Scheme, while the state government has earmarked ₹4,000 crore for panchayat roads and is promoting industries such as aerospace, defence, electronics, automobiles and food processing in the region.

Industrial parks are being developed at Kopparthi and Orvakal, he said.

Naidu also said that under the Jal Jeevan Mission, safe drinking water will be provided to every household through tap connections.

Earlier, the Chief Minister inspected horticulture stalls set up at the meeting venue. Ministers Payyavula Keshav and Anagani Satya Prasad, along with public representatives and officials, attended the programme.
