Hyderabad, Mar 2 (TNT): Ramoji Film City will host India’s first cine-themed ‘Glow Run’ on March 14, offering participants a night racing experience amid illuminated cinematic backdrops.
The event, open to professional runners, families and first-time participants, will see the film city’s avenues transformed with lighting installations and celebratory ambience.
The Glow Run jersey was unveiled on Monday and handed over to run ambassadors in the presence of Padma Shri awardee and noted Kuchipudi exponent Deepika Reddy and ace Indian archer Jyothi Surekha Vennam, who attended as Chief Guest and Guest of Honour respectively.
Speaking on the occasion, Deepika Reddy said the event celebrates collective spirit and participation.
Jyothi Surekha highlighted the importance of adopting running and sports as part of a healthy lifestyle.
Organisers said participants can choose from three categories – 3 km, 5 km and a 10 km Night Challenge. The 3 km will be a Fun Run, while the 5 km and 10 km races will be timed events.
Free transport will be provided from LB Nagar Metro Station to Ramoji Film City and back for participants.
A DJ Glow Party and themed photo opportunities have also been planned after the run.
